MN Career Tech Ed
Minnesota Career and Technical Education (MCTE) is a branch of Academic & Student Affairs at the Office of the Chancellor, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. MCTE partners closely with the Center for Postsecondary Success at Minnesota Department of Education. Together, their work is driven by the Carl D. Perkins Vocational & Technical Education Act of 2006 to improve career and technical education and create opportunities to enter high skill, high wage, and high demand employment in Minnesota for all learners. The new Act provides an increased focus on the academic achievement of career and technical education students, strengthening the connections between secondary and postsecondary education, and improving state and local accountability.
